What is Nidra?

It is a universally known feature of deep sleep that there are no images in the mind. If there are images, that is the waking or the dream state, not the deep sleep state. Yoga nidra relates to conscious deep sleep.
- Swami Jnaneshvara
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep”. It’s usually practiced lying down (or in a reclined position) with a teacher guiding the session.
